Fireworks hit a building and injured a tourist who was celebrating New Year's Eve with her husband in an apartment in the city of Navegantes on the northern coast of Santa Catarina in Brazil. This was reported on January 1 by the portal G1.

According to the woman's husband, she suffered burns to her chest, where she lost skin, and hands.

The publication published a video showing a man and a woman leaning against the living room window watching fireworks. It is at this moment that the fireworks hit the window and injure the woman.

The portal noted that the fireworks were part of the municipality's New Year's Eve program. The pyrotechnic event took place on the beach and, according to the municipality, the assembly of the equipment was carried out "by firefighters in accordance with the law." The municipality expressed regret over the accident. Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
