Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin will be presented a report on the progress of the investigation into the injury of a child in Veliky Novgorod. This was reported on January 2 by the press service of the agency.

It is noted that on the fact of the incident employees of the regional investigative Directorate of the IC of the Russian Federation are conducting a procedural check.

"Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigation Department of the IC of Russia in the Novgorod region N.N. Suprun to submit a report on the progress of the investigative inspection and the established circumstances", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

The incident in Veliky Novgorod took place on December 30. The boy fired a shot from a children's bow and accidentally hit his brother in the eye. It was specified that the 11-year-old victim was hit in the right eye by an arrowhead, as a result of which he was diagnosed with severe right eye contusion, retinal edema and a laceration of the bulbar conjunctiva. The doctors were able to perform surgery, preserving the visual function of the child's eye.
