Musk named the cause of the Tesla electric car fire in Las Vegas

American entrepreneur Ilon Musk on January 1 cited an explosion caused by large fireworks or an explosive device in the vehicle as the cause of the Tesla Cybertruck electric car fire.
"We can now confirm that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb that was in the back of the rented Cybertruck and is not related to the vehicle itself," the company said in a post on social network X (formerly Twitter).
The billionaire noted that at the time of the explosion all indicators of telemetry of the vehicle were normal.
Earlier in the day it became known that the electric car Tesla Cybertruck caught fire near the tower of US President-elect Donald Trump in Las Vegas. Eyewitnesses reported the sounds of explosions and evacuation of the building. The Associated Press later reported that the incident left one person dead and seven injured. Tesla has launched an investigation into what happened.
