Ka-52M helicopter crew destroys AFU stronghold in Kursk border region

The crew of a Ka-52M helicopter has struck a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) stronghold and manpower in a border area of Kursk Region with air missiles. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 2.
The helicopter acted as part of a mixed tactical group to support units of the "North" group of troops. Destruction of all enemy targets was confirmed by the advanced aviation gunner.
Then the crews performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps. This prevents enemy man-portable surface-to-air missiles (MANPADS) from hitting enemy missiles.
Earlier, on January 1, the crew of a Ka-52M helicopter also destroyed AFU personnel and a stronghold in the Kursk border region.
On the same day, the crew of a Su-34 supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Armed Forces struck an AFU stronghold and personnel in the Kursk border region. The target was destroyed by aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
