The command and military personnel of the Strategic Missile Forces fulfilled the wishes of more than 800 children across Russia

On New Year's Eve, commanders and servicemen of the Strategic Missile Forces took part in the "Wishing Tree" campaign and fulfilled the wishes of more than 800 children across Russia. This was reported on January 2 by the press service of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Since wishes in the New Year should come true, we will, of course, give you this toy. From myself I want to wish you in the new year success in your studies, health to you, your parents, so that everything comes true for you and everything was good," - wished the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Colonel-General Sergei Karakaev.

Thus, in the main garrison of the Strategic Missile Forces - Vlasikha near Moscow - Karakayev and his deputies fulfilled New Year's wishes of children. The action was also attended by the commanders and servicemen of associations and formations of the Strategic Missile Forces from Tver to Irkutsk regions.

Artists of the Red Star Song and Dance Ensemble of the Strategic Missile Forces together with Santa Claus and Snegurochka presented presents to the children on their behalf. In addition, a theatrical performance was prepared for the children. With the participation of Santa Claus was organized congratulation of children from sponsored orphanages in missile compounds.

The girls were dressed up as Masha and snowflakes, while the boys were dressed up as Nutcrackers, Romans and 90's dudes

Earlier, on December 31, it was reported that Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Viktor Goremykin took part in the all-Russian charity event "Christmas Tree of Wishes" and fulfilled the wish of nine-year-old Timofey from Shatura near Moscow to visit the park "Patriot".

The "Wish Tree" charity event is a project of the Russian "Movement of the First" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get the opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year. In 2023, the Wishing Tree started on November 15 and runs until February 28, 2024.
