One person died and seven were injured as a result of a Tesla Cybertruck on fire near the tower of US President-elect Donald Trump in Las Vegas. The Associated Press reported on January 1.
"One person was killed and seven others were injured when a Tesla truck caught fire and exploded near President-elect Donald Trump's hotel," the agency's material said.
It is specified that the deceased is a person who was inside the vehicle at the time of the explosion. The victims were near the car and were taken to the hospital after the incident.
The agency specified that the police are investigating the incident and establish its circumstances. According to one version, the car explosion may be a planned terrorist attack. Law enforcers believe that inside the car were mortars disguised as fireworks.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the electric car Tesla Cybertruck caught fire near Donald Trump Tower in Las Vegas. The flames engulfed the car at the entrance to the 64-story hotel complex. Specialists extinguished the fire.
