A hotel in Turkey almost completely burned down due to a wiring short circuit


A fire broke out in a wooden hotel in Bartin province in northern Turkey. This was reported by IHA agency on January 1 with reference to the fire departments.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, as no one was in the building at the time of the incident. The manager of the hotel said that a group of 30 people left the hotel that day in the morning.
It is noted that emergency services managed to extinguish the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to the adjacent forest area. Most of the hotel rooms were completely destroyed.
An investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the fire, presumably the fire was caused by short-circuited wiring.
Earlier, on December 28, a gas explosion in a residential building in Kocaeli province in Turkey injured 10 people. After the explosion a fire started, which was extinguished by emergency services, some apartments were damaged. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after first aid.
