"Rosatom" reported the shutdown of the Novovoronezh NPP power unit

Power unit No. 7 at Novovoronezh NPP was shut down for repair work. This was reported in the state corporation "Rosatom" on January 1.

"On January 1, 2025 at 15:53 Moscow time, power unit No. 7 of Novovoronezh NPP (branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", power division of "Rosatom") was disconnected from the network by the action of automation to perform repair work on electrical equipment," the report says.

It is specified that power units No. 4, 5, 6 with a total load of 2191 MW continue to operate at the plant. No violations of the limits and conditions of safe operation have been recorded, and the radiation background in the area of the NPP corresponds to permissible values.

Earlier, on December 20, the 330 kV high-voltage power supply line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" was shut down at Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) by the action of automatics. ZNPP representatives reminded that all units of the plant are currently suspended.
