Flight restrictions for civil aircraft have been temporarily introduced at the airports of Kaluga, Penza, Saratov and Saransk, Rosaviatsia spokesman Artem Korenyako said on January 1.

"To ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, temporary restrictions have been introduced tonight at four airports: at 20:36 Moscow time - at Kaluga airport, at 21:00 Moscow time - at Penza, Saransk and Saratov airports," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Air harbors temporarily do not accept and do not send flights, Korenyako specified. Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures as a priority.

Earlier, on December 31, temporary flight restrictions were introduced at Kazan airport for security purposes.
