Media reported a Tesla car on fire outside Trump Tower in Las Vegas

A Tesla Cybertruck electric car caught fire near Donald Trump Tower in Las Vegas, the Daily Mail reported on January 1, citing eyewitnesses.

Footage published on social media showed flames engulfing the car at the entrance to the 64-story hotel complex, with puffs of smoke rising from it. Eyewitnesses also described the sounds of explosions and the evacuation of the building.

No injuries were reported. According to police, the fire has been extinguished.

Earlier, on November 13, Tesla announced a recall of nearly 2.5 thousand Cybertruck pickup trucks due to a drive inverter malfunction that increases the risk of accidents. This recall was the sixth for the model in the previous year.
