Air defense forces destroyed two drones over the Belgorod region

The Russian Air Defense Forces have eliminated two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Belgorod Region, the Russian Defence Ministry has said on 1 January. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 1.

"In the period from 15:00 to 15:30 Moscow time on duty air defense means destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Belgorod region", - stated in the publication of the department in Telegram.

"The battalion was born in the Kursk battles."

Earlier in the day it was reported that the AFU over the past 24 hours made 20 strikes in the region. According to preliminary data, as a result of these attacks, no one was injured and no destruction was recorded.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
