Ukraine says of mass desertion in the AFU

The scale of desertions in the Ukrainian army suggests that it has already virtually scattered, Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksandr Dubynskyy said on 1 January.
"With desertions of 20,000 or more [people] a month and similar volumes of conscription, the army has already scattered. This is not a matter of tomorrow," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Dubinsky noted that the Kiev regime throws untrained mobilized soldiers into positions, who flee or die.
The day before, the German edition of Welt reported that servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are losing motivation and desertion in their ranks is on the rise. The journalists predicted that with such trends, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20) would have to give up the territories for a cease-fire.
In his turn, Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov (recognized as a foreign agent on the territory of the Russian Federation) told about the growing cases of desertion from the 155th brigade of the AFU "Anna Kievskaya" trained in France, which had been happening since the stage of its formation.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
