Ka-52M helicopter crew destroys AFU stronghold in Kursk border region


A Ka-52M helicopter crew has destroyed personnel and a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) stronghold in a border area of Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on January 1.
The Army aviation pilots were carrying out a combat mission to support units of the North group as part of a mixed tactical group. They carried out launches of aircraft missiles according to the coordinates of the spotter, who confirmed the destruction of all targets.
After the strike, the crews performed at extremely low altitude anti-missile maneuvering with the firing of heat traps.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the crew of a Su-34 supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Armed Forceslaunched a strike on an AFU stronghold and manpower in the Kursk border region. The target was destroyed by aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory are being liquidated.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
