In Bashkiria, an investigation into the fact of derailment of railroad cars is underway. This was reported on January 1 by the Central Interregional Investigative Department on Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICTS ICR).
"The actions of the responsible persons of the railroad are being checked under part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of railway transport, resulting in the infliction of major damage")", - stated in the publication of the department in Telegram.
Preliminarily, four freight cars with ore derailed during shunting operations near Uchaly station of the South Ural Railway. Two of them overturned, added in the ICSD.
It is specified that there were no casualties as a result of the accident. Train traffic was not disrupted.
Earlier, on December 20, it was reported about the arrest of the assistant driver of the freight train, caught in an accident in the Murmansk region. Passenger train, following the route Murmansk - St. Petersburg, collided with a freight train on December 18. As a result, three cars of the passenger train and several freight cars derailed.
