In Veliky Novgorod, a boy fired a shot from a children's bow and accidentally hit his brother's eye. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on January 1.

The incident occurred on December 30 in a house on Derzhavina Street.

The press service of the St. Petersburg Pediatric University informed 78.ru that an arrowhead hit the 11-year-old victim in the right eye, as a result of which he was diagnosed with severe right eye contusion, retinal edema and a laceration of the bulbar conjunctiva.

Doctors were able to perform surgery, preserving the visual function of the child's eye.
