Rada deputy demanded that Zelensky be punished for harming Ukraine

Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksandr Dubynskyy said on Wednesday, January 1, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term in office expired on May 20) should be criminally punished for harming the country.
"Everything that Zelensky and his gang of "effective managers" do was described by the article "sabotage" in the Soviet Criminal Code. It's time to reintroduce it. From 12 to 15 years in prison for the actions of officials that caused losses to the state, economy and people," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Dubinsky condemned Ukraine's refusal to transit Russian gas, saying it was malicious and sabotage. He added that this led to a 400% increase in gas transportation tariffs and another 400% increase is expected in the future, as revenues from transit offset these tariffs.
According to the MP, the refusal of transit is not due to stupidity, but is a purposeful action.
"Gazprom" reported the suspension of gas supplies through Ukraine on January 1. The company noted that gas transportation stopped from 8:00 Moscow time.
In late August, Ukraine's president, said that the country would not extend the gas transit agreement with Russia, which expires at the end of 2024. Russian President Vladimir Putin later said that Russia was not giving up gas transit through Ukraine.
Later, on December 20, it was reported that Zelensky said that he agreed to transit Russian gas through Ukraine if Western countries do not pay Russia for the fuel until the conflict ends.
