The National Bank of Ukraine reported a fire in one of its buildings


The National Bank of Ukraine reported on January 1 that one of its buildings in Kiev had caught fire.
"There was a fire on the roof of one of the buildings of the National Bank in the Pechersk district," - said on the page of the NBU in the social network Facebook (owned by the recognized extremist company Meta, its activities are banned in Russia).
It is specified that the fire was promptly liquidated, there are no victims. Damage was caused to the windows on the upper floors.
Representatives of the regulator added that after the incident all its services are working normally.
Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian edition "Strana.ua" reported on explosions in Kiev and the work of air defense equipment. At that moment the air alert was announced in Kiev, Poltava, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions.
Russian forces in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to terrorist actions by the Kiev regime.
