60 babies were born in Moscow on New Year's Eve


Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova said on Wednesday, January 1, that 60 babies were born in the capital on New Year's Eve: 28 boys and 32 girls.
"The last in 2024 was born a baby in the perinatal center of the Savelyeva State Clinical Hospital No. 31, a child whose weight was 4140 g, just a little bit, only 16 minutes, did not reach the chimes. "The first in 2025, at 00:09, was born a baby weighing 3380 g, the birth took place in the maternity hospital No. 1 at the Inozemtsev Municipal Clinical Hospital," Interfax quoted her as saying.
Rakova specified that all newborns are now with their mothers under the supervision of doctors.
The Deputy Mayor added that a new standard of obstetric and gynecological care is being introduced in Moscow. Within the framework of this standard, Women's Health Centers are being created in multidisciplinary hospitals, where women can receive a wide range of services.
A new client pathway for pregnancy management has been introduced and a program to support reproductive health has been launched for residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, including examinations for pregnancy planning and access to reproductive technologies.
Rakova noted that in the capital's maternity hospitals, parents can receive a birth certificate upon discharge, as well as a gift set of 44 items for the newborn. In 12 hospitals is available video broadcast from the intensive care unit for moms through the electronic medical card, you can give access to the broadcast to other relatives.
Earlier, on October 15, Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab said that the benefit for temporary disability for maternity will double in 2025 compared to 2023. Noting that in comparison with 2024 the payment will increase by 1.4 times. It was specified that the recipients of temporary disability for maternity in 2025 is expected to be about 11 million.
