Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kiev

There have been explosions in Kiev in Ukraine. About it on Wednesday, January 1, reports the Ukrainian edition "Strana.ua".

"In Kiev continue explosions. You can hear the work of air defense on drones," - stated in the message of the edition in Telegram-channel.

The mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information about the work of air defense means. He also reported on the fire after the explosion on the roof of an apartment building in the Pechersk district.

"In the Pechersk district there is a fire on the roof and in one of the apartments of a residential building <...> There is also information about the fall of debris on another non-residential building in the Pechersk district," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

According to the online map of the country's digital transformation ministry, an air alert has been declared in Kiev, Poltava, Zhitomir and Chernihiv regions.

In the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation information about explosions did not comment.

The day before it was reported that there were explosions in Odessa region in Ukraine. An air alert was announced.

Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.
