A section of the M5 highway was closed in the Orenburg region due to snowstorms

A section of the M5 "Ural" federal highway was blocked in the Orenburg region due to a snowstorm. This was reported on Wednesday, January 1, by the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.

"There is a cessation of traffic for all types of vehicles on the section of the highway M5 "Ural" from 170 km (village Krasnoshchekovo) to 260 km (village Novonikolsk) due to the onset of adverse weather conditions (heavy snowstorm, limitation of visibility)", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that also due to heavy snowstorms and poor visibility traffic is blocked for all cars on the road section Kamennoozernoe - Mednogorsk from 177th to 184th km.
