Two people died in a fire in a dormitory apartment in Samara


In the apartment of a hostel in Samara there was a fire on the area of 30 square meters, two people died as a result of the incident. This was reported on January 1 in the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Samara region.
It is noted that the message about the fire in Kostromsky Lane in the Industrial District of Samara was received the day before, December 31, at 23:12 local time (22:12 Moscow time). The fire was extinguished on January 1 at 01:59 local time (00:59 Moscow time).
"Two people died: a 76-year-old man, the identity of the second man is being established", - specified in the message in the Telegram-channel.
Firefighters managed to save 40 people, including five children. 96 people were evacuated from the building, including 14 children. To eliminate the fire involved 120 specialists and 30 units of equipment.
Earlier in the day, the source of "Izvestia" reported that a man was killed in an apartment fire in the south of Moscow. According to the source, the fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of an apartment building on an area of 4 square meters.
