Ukrainian militants struck the center of Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic at night. This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko on January 1.

"At 00:01 Ukrainian armed bandits struck at the center of Gorlovka," - stated in a message in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that the arrival of a shell of the militants of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU) was recorded on the roadway on the street Ostapenko.

"We are pushing the enemy away from Horlivka so that they don't shell civilians."

Earlier in the day, the governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that in the town of Shebekino as a result of shelling by the AFU was damaged glazing in two apartment buildings.
