HC "Washington" defeated "Boston" in the NHL game

The Washington Capitals hockey team defeated the Boston Bruins in a match of the National Hockey League (NHL). The meeting was held on December 31 and ended with a score of 3:1.

The winners scored a double by forward Alexei Protas, and the puck was scored by defenseman Jacob Chikran. Their opponents got the only goal from forward Justin Brazeau.

Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin had three shots on goal, three power plays and one blocked shot. This game was the first time since Nov. 9 that the Russian has not scored a point.

Earlier, on December 29, the Washington Capitals were defeated in an NHL game against Detroit. As part of the capital club one of the pucks scored Ovechkin, but it did not save the team from losing. The game ended with a score of 4:2.
