Sobyanin wished Muscovites prosperity and fulfillment of wishes in 2025

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the capital on New Year and wished them prosperity and fulfillment of wishes. The video message was published on December 31 in his personal Telegram channel.

"Friends! In these minutes we see off the 2024th year and remember the days we have lived, summarize <...> From millions of plans and the fate of the city and the country is formed. Each of us has different memories and impressions, but for all of us it was a year of courage and determination, in which thousands of Muscovites fulfilled their duty at the front," he said.

Sobyanin emphasized that 2024 was a time of "creative work, unity and cohesion," and everyone was able to do something for themselves, their loved ones and the country.

"Happy holiday, dear Muscovites! Happy holiday!" - he said.

He declared 2025 the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the courage of Russian Armed Forces servicemen and respect for their ancestors. The President pointed out that Russians are descendants of the generation that destroyed Nazism and remains faithful to the covenants and traditions of veterans.
