Palace Square in St. Petersburg was cordoned off because of a suspicious ownerless package. This was reported on December 31 in the Rosgvardia.
"The area with an ownerless package on Palace Square in St. Petersburg is cordoned off by OMON "Bastion" Rosgvardiya to create a safe perimeter", - indicated in the press service of the department.
Currently, law enforcers are waiting for the arrival of a cinematologist with a mine detection dog.
Earlier on the same day in the Leningrad region were recorded two false reports of mines. It is specified that 119 stadiums of the region and the temple were checked, but no explosive devices were not found. The materials were handed over to investigators, the question of instituting criminal proceedings against the callers is being resolved.
