American businessman Ilon Musk may appear on the talk show of the co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AdG) and candidate for Chancellor of Germany Alice Weidel. This was reported by Der Spiegel magazine on December 31, citing Weidel's spokesman Daniel Tapp.

"Weidel's team is in constant contact with Musk's team <...> [The businessman] was already interested in the AdG program several months ago," Tapp said.

Musk and Weidel have not had phone or in-person conversations, he said, but that will "probably change soon." The two may participate in a joint online talk show on the X (formerly Twitter) platform, which Musk owns.

Earlier in the day, Musk predicted the victory of the AdG party in the upcoming elections in Germany. So he commented on the information about the record approval of the party.

Before that, on December 20, Musk called the AdG party the only salvation for Germany. So he commented on the publication of a German political activist who condemned the candidate for Chancellor Friedrich Merz for his negative attitude to the idea of Germany following the example of Ilon Musk and Argentine leader Javier Miley in economic policy.

On November 29, the party advocated the country's exit from the European Union (EU) in its election program. Not only German politicians are calling for leaving the EU. For example, in August, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on France to leave the EU and stop financing Ukraine.
