Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left the hospital against doctors' recommendations for the sake of an important budget vote in the Knesset (parliament). This was reported by The Times of Israel on December 31.

The Prime Minister underwent prostate surgery on December 29. It is noted that the politician looked "exhausted and tired" at the plenary session.

During the session, the newspaper notes, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called on Netanyahu to take responsibility for passing the budget. The prime minister left the plenum accompanied by his personal physician.

As previously reported in the hospital where the politician is being treated, his recovery is proceeding without serious problems.

The media reported about the surgery to remove the prostate gland from the head of the Israeli Cabinet the day before. Medics discovered Netanyahu had a urinary tract infection. His office later reported that the prime minister was feeling well after the surgery.
