Crimea warned of possible disruptions in mobile internet service

In Crimea, it is possible to disconnect mobile Internet during the holidays in order to ensure the safety of the population. This was reported by the adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov on December 31.
"In the holidays to ensure the safety of Crimeans possible disconnections of mobile Internet on the peninsula. This applies to any operators of the peninsula, the mainland and the new (historical) regions", - said in the message Kryuchkov in Telegram-channel.
It is specified that the Internet may be turned off not only at night, but calls and SMS will work. In addition, as noted Kryuchkov, all home, office, city connections and Wi-Fi will work as usual.
Earlier, on November 15, it was reported that the State Duma deputy from the faction "New People" Yaroslav Samylin sent an appeal to the head of Roskomnadzor (RKN) Andrei Lipov, where he proposed to notify Russians about Internet shutdowns in case of, for example, exercises. The deputy is sure that if not only organizations, but also citizens know in advance about disruptions in access to the Internet, they will be better prepared and will face fewer inconveniences while meeting their personal and professional needs.
