The state corporation Roscosmos published a photo of the snowfall that covered Moscow on Tuesday, December 31.

"The image is from our satellites - Elektro-L and Arktika-M", - said in a message in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier in the day, leading specialist of the weather center "Phobos" Miakhil Leus told "Izvestia" that the weather in the capital on December 31 is formed by a cold atmospheric front, and the most noticeable precipitation - snow - will last until 16:00 Moscow time, after which it will weaken and reduce. The forecaster added that the maximum temperature in Moscow today will be from 0 to +2 degrees Celsius, and the snow layer may increase to about 3-5 cm.
