Putin instructed to take measures to increase the birth rate in 2025


Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, December 31, following a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects instructed to take measures to increase the birth rate in the coming year 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
The Russian leader instructed the government together with the Bank of Russia and regional authorities in the new national projects to pay special attention to measures to improve demography and increase the birth rate. A report on these measures should be provided by June 1, 2025.
"As early as next year it is necessary to create conditions for a break in the demographic situation, realizing that these are very difficult tasks and even under objective circumstances not everything depends on us, but we need to do everything that depends on us to further achieve the birth rate in our country on a steady growth, on a positive trend," - the words of the head of state are quoted on the website.
Earlier, September 24, to the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov appealed to the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education Yana Lantratova and the head of the faction "Fair Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov with a request to assign in the regions of Russia with low birth rates to families with children on 1 million rubles to repay the mortgage. In the document, which is at the disposal of "Izvestia", indicated that the greatest potential for improving the demographic situation have measures aimed at supporting large families with three or more children.
