The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have struck again at a hospital in Alyoshki in Kherson Region and burned down a mothballed school in Novaya Kakhovka. This was reported on December 31 by the representative of the government of the Kherson region Andrey Alekseenko.

"In Aleshki the enemy is trying to completely deprive the residents of medical care. Yesterday after the first blow, when one doctor of the hospital was killed and the head doctor Vladimir Kharlan was wounded, the enemy tried to prevent evacuation," he wrote in his Telegram.

The head of the region said that the AFU tried to attack the ambulance carriage on which Harlan was evacuated. However, the Russian military did not allow them to do so. The doctor's life is not threatened at the moment, informed Alekseenko.

According to the chairman of the Kherson region administration, when the ambulance returned to Alyoshki, Ukrainian fighters destroyed it during another strike on the same hospital in the evening of December 30. On the night of December 31, the AFU also hit the second school in Novaya Kakhovka, causing a fire to break out in its empty building.

Oleksiyenko promised to rebuild the school and replace ambulances.
