Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike on the infrastructure of an AFU airfield


Russian servicemen launched a group strike on the infrastructure of a military airfield and an enterprise of Ukraine's military-industrial complex (MIC) in the morning. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 31.
"A group strike with high-precision weapons of destruction and strike drones was carried out on the infrastructure of a military airfield and an enterprise of the military-industrial complex producing powder charges for the needs of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine. - Ed)," the ministry reported, adding that the goal was achieved, all objects were hit.
In addition, during the day the Black Sea Fleet forces destroyed eight uncrewed enemy boats, and air defense means - two Hammer guided bombs, seven HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 103 Ukrainian UAVs, the report added.
The day before, the Defense Ministry said that the Russian military hit the energy facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as airfields, warehouses and control points of the AFU strike drones. On the same day, it became known about the liberation of Novoolenovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The agency also published footage of the liberation of the settlement.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
