A monument to Vysotsky was dismantled near a movie studio in Odessa

The Ukrainian authorities have dismantled a monument to Soviet poet, actor, author and singer Vladimir Vysotskyy installed near a movie studio in Odessa. This was reported on December 31 by the Internet edition "Strana.ua".
"In Odessa at night dismantled the monument to Vysotsky near the movie studio", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the edition.
The movie studio was opened in 1907 as a private movie studio. It was filmed more than 260 pictures, including the cult "The place of meeting can not be changed", "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "Spring on Zarechnaya Street".
Earlier, on December 17, it was reported that in the city unknown people left inscriptions demanding to dismantle the structures on the monuments to the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and Count Mikhail Vorontsov.
The policy of so-called decolonization was a continuation of "decommunization" in Ukraine, which began in 2015 under the law "On Condemnation of Communist and Nazi Regimes." It prescribes demolishing monuments, dismantling memorial plaques, and renaming all topographical objects whose names are associated with the USSR or Russia. This policy became especially acute after the start of the Russian Federation's special operation to defend Donbass in February 2022.
