Ukrainian authorities reported explosions in Sumy region

In Sumy region of Ukraine on December 31 night and morning recorded six explosions. This was reported by the Sumy regional military administration in Telegram.

"Six explosions were recorded. The settlements of Shostka and Svessa were subjected to shelling," - stated in the publication.

The data is given as of 08:00 local time (09:00 Moscow time).

It is specified that the consequences of the explosions are being clarified.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the situation.

Earlier in the day it was reported about the explosions in Kiev. According to the Ukrainian online map of the Ministry of digital transformation, the air alert was announced in Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnitsa, Kiev, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Chernihiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

Before that, on December 28, it was reported that sounds of explosions were heard in Sumy in northeastern Ukraine.

Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to the Kiev regime's terrorist actions.
