Saldo imposed curfew on New Year's Eve in Kherson region


In Kherson region introduced curfew from 22:00 to 05:00 on New Year's Eve. This was announced by regional governor Volodymyr Saldo on Tuesday, December 31.
He said about the increase in the intensity of shelling by the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"In this regard, on New Year's Eve in order to minimize the danger to the population on the territory of the Kherson region from 22:00 to 05:00 will be curfew," - wrote the head of the region in his Telegram-channel.
Curfew restrictions on New Year's Eve will not apply to transit vehicles traveling along the Azov Ring, including the M-18 highway (from the border between Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions to the checkpoint "Dzhankoy" on the border with the Republic of Crimea), as well as on the territory of Genichesk and Novotroitsk districts.
Earlier, on December 26, the authorities of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) canceled the curfew from 23:00 on December 31 to 04:00 on January 2, as well as on the night of January 6-7.
Later, on December 29, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin also announced the abolition of curfew in the region from December 31, 2024 to January 7, 2025.
