Star Wars actor Angus McInnes has died at the age of 77


Canadian actor Angus McInnes, known for his roles in the "Star Wars" film series, died at the age of 78. This was announced on December 30 by the family of the artist on his Facebook page (part of Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia).
"Angus McInnes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and actor, died on December 23, 2024. He left us peacefully, surrounded by his family and love," the publication said.
The reasons for the actor's passing were not specified.
McInnes is best known for his role as John Vander in "Star Wars", as well as former hockey player Jean Larose in the comedy "The Adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew". The Canadian actor also starred in "Witness" as a corrupt cop, in "Atlantic City" as a gangster and in the Scottish series "River City" as Sonny. Throughout his career, the actor has performed roles in more than 35 films.
