Likhachev reported on Rosatom's fulfillment of the state defense order in 2024

Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexei Likhachev said that the State Corporation has fully fulfilled the increased state defense order for 2024. He said this in a New Year's greeting published on the official channel of Rosatom in Telegram on December 31.

"Dear friends, we have handled the growing state defense order with honor. We have made every effort to solve our second most important task - to exceed the state targets for electricity generation at nuclear power plants (NPPs. - Ed.)," Likhachev said.

In addition, he noted that despite the "close to combat" situation, Rosatom continues the construction of Kursk NPP-2.

The site for the first concrete at the Paks-2 NPP in Hungary has also been fully prepared, the Rosatom CEO emphasized.

Earlier, on December 25, the company said that the State Corporation in the town of Seversk, Tomsk Region, had commissioned a plant to manufacture nuclear fuel for the new BREST-OD-300 fast neutron reactor.
