Erdogan's administration recalled the severing of Turkey's relations with Israel

Relations between Turkey and Israel are completely broken, Ankara has not taken any steps to improve them. This was reported on December 30 by the Turkish state news agency Anadolu with reference to the statement of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.
Earlier, several Israeli media outlets, and afterwards Turkish media, reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had allegedly contacted the Israeli administration to restore relations between the two countries.
"There is no question of President Erdogan calling the Israeli authorities. Israeli media news claimed that "Turkey is negotiating with its interlocutors through communication channels, with the IDF and security units." On the other hand, it was found that some Turkish media outlets misrepresented this unfounded claim as 'Erdogan called Israel,'" the publication said.
Thus, a misleading news story was created. The statement from the Turkish leader's administration emphasizes that "as a result of Israel's genocide in Gaza," relations between Turkey and Israel have been completely severed. Furthermore, it is noted that no steps have been taken subsequently to improve relations.
Earlier, on December 13, Erdogan said at a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Ankara that the Turkish state is in favor of preserving the territorial integrity of Syria. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Dec. 10 also pointed to Israel's threat to Syria's future. He said that Turkey "will stand by its Syrian brothers" and added that it condemns Israel's entry into the partition zone and its movement into Syria.
In addition, lawyer Burak Bekiroğlu reported on Nov. 14 that Turkey has prepared a lawsuit at the ICC against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of genocide in the Gaza Strip. Turkey believes that any international outcry or pressure from the court will slow down the violence against infants, women, children and all civilians subjected to genocide.
On Nov. 21, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Ministry chief Yoav Galant. The decision was made because Netanyahu and Galant "continue their criminal acts" and should be aware of the existence of the warrants for the benefit of the victims and their families. Netanyahu's office, commenting on the issuance of the warrant, accused the ICC of isolating the country and "facilitating terrorist acts" against the Jewish state.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, when Hamas launched a massive barrage of rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip, as well as invading border areas in the south and taking hostages. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes against targets in the Gaza Strip.
