The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia reported about the suspension of issuance of IINs to foreigners

From January 1, 2025 the issuance of individual identification number (IIN) to foreign citizens through foreign institutions of Kazakhstan will be suspended. The corresponding information was published on the website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia on December 30.

It is noted that the relevant measures are associated with the expiration of the project "Formation of individual identification number for foreign citizens through the foreign missions of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

Earlier, June 26, the Union of shopping centers of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan appealed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Finance with a request to introduce a special tax regime for shopping centers (RC). The appeal proposes to analyze these preferences, which currently have marketplaces compared to shopping centers, and to develop measures of economic support for offline retailers experiencing competitive pressure.
