Russian cosmonauts who are on board the International Space Station (ISS) have congratulated their compatriots on the New Year. The video was published on December 31 by the state corporation Roscosmos in its Telegram channel.

"Dear friends, we, Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexei Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner and Alexander Gorbunov, from the bottom of our hearts congratulate you from aboard the International Space Station on the coming year 2025!" - Ovchinin said.

In turn, Wagner pointed out that in the whirl of cares it is easy to forget that there are loving people nearby who need care and attention. He urged his compatriots to do good and give smiles to those around them in the new year.

"Even in space, we feel the love and support of our families, although we still have a few months to go before the real meeting with them. We wish you peace, prosperity and well-being. Happy New Year!" - Gorbunov noted.

Earlier, on December 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the leaders of a number of countries on Christmas and the coming New Year. The Russian leader did not send New Year's greetings to US President Joe Biden and other leaders of major unfriendly countries.
