The work of U.S. federal agencies and departments will be suspended on January 9 in connection with the death of the 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter. This was announced by the White House on December 30.
"All executive departments and agencies of the federal government should be closed on January 9, 2025 as a sign of respect for the 39th President of the United States James Earl Carter - Jr.", - stated in the message.
It is specified that the work will continue to work offices of departments whose activities provide national security, defense or public need.
