Preliminary results of Aktau air crash investigation to be announced in 30 days

Preliminary results of the investigation into the crash of the plane Azal Air will be known within 30 days. This was reported to Kazinform Agency on December 30 by Vice-Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev.

"In general, according to standards within 30 days, preliminary or interim results of the investigation are announced," he said.

Lastayev specified that at the moment the "field stage of the investigation" is underway, assembling fragments of the airplane, prints at the crash site. After that, experts will "painstakingly evaluate" the found materials.
