The oldest actress of the Moscow Drama Theater named after N.V. Gogol, Maya Ivashkevich, died at the age of 99. This was reported in the press service of the theater on December 30.

"A peer of the Gogol Theater Maya Sergeevna was the keeper of the memory of several theatrical eras and only half a year did not live to his own centenary," - noted in the message.

Maya Ivashkevich worked in the Moscow Drama Theater. NV Gogol since 1960. Before that she served in the Chamber Theater and the Pushkin Theater.

The actress is also an Honorary Art Worker of the City of Moscow and a recipient of the Silver Gogol Theater Award.
