In Turkey detained a group of fraudsters, who earned $60 million by deceiving tourists, as reported by IHA agency on December 30.

According to the agency, the operation to detain the attackers was conducted for five months. The suspects published fake advertisements of hotels in the format of bungalows and deceived customers, while receiving money for fake reservations. The agency said the fraudsters had defrauded hundreds of victims in this way.

"As a result of the operation, 20 suspects have been apprehended and 12 of them have been arrested. Six cars and a motorcycle were confiscated from the suspects, and in total on their accounts, used to deceive citizens, was 2 billion 147 million 983 thousand Turkish liras ($60 million. - Ed.)," - stated in the publication.

The day before it was reported that in Moscow, a student gave the fraudsters cash and jewelry from the safe for a total of 7.5 million rubles. During communication, the criminals forced the victim to install an unknown application and tell about the property in the apartment.
