Abkhazia names planned amount of financial aid from Russia in 2025

Russia's financial assistance to Abkhazia will amount to 5.2 billion rubles in 2025, acting head of the Abkhazian Ministry of Finance Vladimir Delba said on December 30.
"Most of the funds of the Russian financial aid in the amount of 5 billion rubles will be directed to socio-economic development of Abkhazia, including co-financing of wages of public sector employees," Telegram channel "Sputnik Abkhazia" quoted his statement at a meeting of the republic's parliament.
According to Delba, the country's own revenues account for the rest of the state budget in the amount of more than 12 billion rubles.
Earlier in the day, acting President of Abkhazia Badra Gunba promised to make efforts to strengthen relations with Russia. He also expressed gratitude to the Russian side for support in overcoming the energy crisis.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on December 25 that Russia expects Abkhazia to fulfill its investment commitments under the agreements. Before that, on December 23, Russia started humanitarian supplies of electricity to the republic.
