In Argentina, five people have been charged with involvement in the death of singer Payne

The court in Argentina accused five people of involvement in the death of the ex-participant of One Direction Liam Payne. This was reported on December 30 by the Attorney General's Office of the country.

The publication notes that the offense carries a sentence of one to five years in prison. The judge also imposed an embargo of $48.5 thousand from each.

In addition, a waiter whom Payne met in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero, Brian Pais, and an employee of the hotel where the musician stayed, Eskel Pereira, were prosecuted for selling drugs to the artist. The punishment for this offense could be imprisonment of four to 15 years.

Ex One Direction lead singer Liam Payne died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires on October 16. The ambulance arrived at the hotel, from the balcony of which the singer fell out, seven minutes after the call, but doctors were unable to save the artist. It is noted that before the incident, the police were informed about an "aggressive man" who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

On the same day, the Marca tabloid reported that police found a broken TV and some kind of powdery substance in Payne's room. In the bathroom, there were candle burns and traces of sooting. In addition, it was discovered that the singer had suffered a fracture to the base of his skull in the fall and could not be saved. The prosecutor's office later pointed out that Payne was unconscious when he fell.
