Georgia patented Santa Claus as intellectual property

The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia has registered Santa Claus as intellectual property, the agency's press service said on December 30.
"Santa Claus as intellectual property of Georgia will be protected by Gruzpatent," the center said on its Facebook page (owned by the recognized extremist company Meta, its activities are banned in Russia).
Representatives of the center noted that with the arrival of the New Year, billions of people around the world are waiting for the "arrival" of Santa Claus or Santa Claus and experience joy by receiving gifts on his behalf, although they deny his existence.
Gruzpatent explained its decision by the desire to protect the idea of Santa Claus as an example of intellectual creativity of mankind, which is also one of the manifestations of kindness in people.
Earlier, on December 17, Ded Moroz and Snegurochka told a press conference at the Izvestia news agency about the wishes of adults and children for the New Year, which they voice in their letters. As a rule, children ask for toys and pets, gadgets or cosmetics. Girls and women ask for a fiancé for the holiday, and men ask for career growth and salary increase.
