Three young men burned a wreath on the Eternal Flame in the Moscow region

Three hooligans who desecrated a monument in honor of the fallen Soviet soldiers in the Great Patriotic War were detained in the Moscow region. This was reported to "Izvestia" on Monday, December 30, by a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to his information, on the night of December 29, young men aged 21 to 25 ripped off a wreath from the monument in Klin, started kicking it, burned it on the Eternal Flame and fled.

A criminal case was opened, all three were detained. The defendants will be charged in the near future. The investigation plans to take them into custody.

In the press service of the State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow region reported "RIA Novosti" that the case was initiated under Article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Destruction or damage to military graves").

Earlier in the day it was reported that on December 28 in Kingisepp, Leningrad region, two children extinguished with snow the gas burner of the Eternal Flame at the memorial "Grove of Five Hundred". The gas service restored the burning of the fire the same evening, and the schoolchildren were identified by cameras and interviewed. The results of the interview were sent to the juvenile affairs commission.
