Putin awarded state awards to mothers with many children and families from 19 Russian regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin has honored mothers of many children and families from 19 regions with state awards. The decree of the head of state was posted on December 30 on the portal of official publication of legal acts.

"For great merits in strengthening the institution of the family and upbringing of children to award the title "Heroine Mother" to Svetlana Nikolaevna Bobrova, St. Petersburg, Lyudmila Anatolievna Gordienko, Voronezh region, Lyudmila Avdalionovna Kuklina, Vladimir region, Elena Pavlovna Sapelkina, Tver region," the text reads.

In addition, nine families from Chuvashia, Ryazan region, Bashkortostan and Sverdlovsk region, St. Petersburg and Moscow were awarded the Order of Parental Glory.

Also parents with many children from Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kostroma, Kurgan, Orel, Rostov, Ryazan, Tambov regions, North Ossetia, Bashkortostan, Republic of Altai, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Moscow were awarded the medal of the Order of "Parents' Glory".

Earlier, on December 26, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko called Russian families the pride of the country. He called it symbolic that the ceremony summarizing the results of the Year of the Family was held in the national center "Russia".

Before that, on November 21, state awards were given to mothers with many children and families from six Russian regions. Then the title "Heroine Mother" was awarded to residents of the Voronezh, Omsk and Kurgan regions.
