FC Milan has changed head coach for the second time in a year


Italian soccer club (FC) AC Milan announced the departure of head coach Paulo Fonseca on Monday, December 30.
"AC Milan announces that Paulo Fonseca has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the men's first team. The club would like to thank Paulo for his great professionalism and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," reads a statement on the team's website.
Fonseca held the position of head coach since June this year. Before him, this post was held by Stefano Pioli.
Earlier, on November 6, FC Milan defeated Real Madrid on the road in the match of the 4th round of the general stage of the Champions League with a score of 3:1.
At the moment, "Milan" is in eighth place in the standings of the Italian championship, trailing by 14 points from the leader - "Atalanta". In addition, the club is in 12th position in the Champions League.
